Great overview. I was in many of these places exactly one year ago. One of the things Tel Arad impressed on me was the immensity of time. Especially in barren places, daylight time hangs heavy. To note that the fort on the top of the hill was some 3,000 years old began to put antiquity into larger perspective. But then to realize that the early Canaanite settlement just below pre-date David's time by a couple more millennia extended the horizons well beyond understanding.
