Everything We Need – Music and Lyric by Gord Johnson
In the morning Lord we do look to you
For the strength we need just to make it through
Have mercy
a
In the evening Lord we look back and say
It was in your strength that we made our way
Have mercy
You are everything we need
Feed us Lord

This song is so simple, yet so powerful! Thanks for the gift that this song is! Looking forward to using it as a theme song for the wilderness canoe trips I have the opportunity to lead this summer!

The perfect song for this day, when I need the reminder that He is the strength I need to make it through..You are merciful, Lord!

thank you for this song. The lyrics are also on CCLI, but not a chord progression. Is this available?
Peggy – the chords and melody are right on the audio disk Devotion which has that song on it. If you have the CD, just pop it in your computer and follow the prompts. If you would like to get the CD, click HERE – Staff

This song comes and goes frequently through my mind in a prayerful way. I look forward to the rap stylings coming soon. Thanks. BLB

Thank you for this song. I love it. It’s become a staple prayer in my life. It was instrumental in giving me the strength and mercy to help me help my mother through a very big move when I couldn’t see how I would make it through. But, I did.
I am also in a long battle with cancer. A recurrence 18 months ago leaves me little hope of a cure, but every day I just “Look to the Lord for the strength I need to make it through…” and he gives me mercy.
