New Short Video: The Gifting and the Giver

  • Changes, Featured Content, Projects, Videos

Steve was recently in the studio demo-ing a new song for his upcoming album. The song, “The Gifting and the Giver” was inspired by a Matt Richardson poem that Steve adapted for the song.  I had a chance to sneak in and capture some rough footage on a Sony H1 camera (not intended for video!).  However, a good friend of mine Daryl Hiebert helped me transform that rough footage in to this; a little preview of what’s to come on the new album.

The lyrics sound powerful, Steve. I like the music style and so look forward to hearing hte completed work. I left off listening to contemporary Christian music many years ago, disilusioned by the shallowness, showness, and noise without the hint of sustaining thought and joy. Imagine my delight when I came across Rich Mullins’ works. Then, coming across your ministry–the blessings were multiplied. Your music, Steve, has been a sanity pill, just to know I can trust the sincerity, substance, and seeking heart I hear.

50th Year??? Wow. I still remember a friend telling me about this great young artist from Winnipeg and gave me his album to listen to. I loved the album and have been a fan since. Keep up the good work. I would also encourage others to be part of your good work…no I don’t work for Steve or signpost!! Looking forward to the new album and continue to pray for your arm and family.
