Album Story
Frequent requests for an album that reflected the musical feel of one of my solo concerts led to Simple Songs.
We wanted to make an album of all-acoustic songs – just voice, guitar, maybe some mandolin. Dave Zeglinski, my long-time producer – engineer and business partner, worked his subtle studio magic and made the concept into a wonderfully full sounding project.
This one is worth listening to with headphones on. It might be acoustic, but despite the title it is NOT simple! That said, we were all quite taken aback when it won a JUNO. It continues to be one of the best selling albums I’ve ever recorded.
