Album Story
Some of my most remarkable musical experiences have resulted from someone else’s initiative. That was the case for Symphony Sessions.
Our local orchestra (The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra) called and suggested I might wish to do a concert with them. I thought they were joking, but when it turned out they were serious, we went to work.
Mike Janzen brilliantly arranged thirteen of my songs, we sold out the concert hall and just generally had a most extraordinary experience. That led to the Symphony Sessions album, an initial thirteen engagement tour with the WSO, a Christmas concert, and now with over 22 shows under our belts we’re considering taking this all to orchestras across the border. Who knew?
